Season 2 Events

There will be three events that take place throughout the first three weeks of November: one running event, one strength event, and one mixed!

Event 1: 3 mile time trial

Athletes will run three miles as fast as possible.

The Rules:

- must record the run on Strava and the route must have no more than 100 feet of elevation loss

- team members must run 1 mile each on the same 1 mile loop

- scores can be submitted from November 1st 12pm PST through November 6th 5pm PST

Event 2: Grip Gauntlet

Athletes will complete the following on a running clock:

Minutes 0 - 7: build up to 1 rep max deadlift

Minutes 7 - 10: full rest

Minutes 10 - 15: max pull ups with a dumbbell (35/20 pounds)

Minutes 15 - 18: full rest

Minute 18: max pull up bar hang or chin


The Rules:

- teams must pick one person per movement

- must have a visible watch/clock in the video the entire time

- dumbbell for the pull-ups may not be attached… must be held between the legs without assistance from a belt/etc.

- scores can be submitted from November 8th 12pm PST through November 13th 5pm PST

Event 3: Fork in the Road by CrossFit Invictus

Athletes will complete the following for time:

- 1 mile run straight into

- 5 rounds

10 dumbbell thrusters (50/35)

14 TTB

- OR -

10 rounds

5 dumbbell thrusters (50/35)

7 TTB

- straight into 1 mile run to finish


The Rules:

- athletes pick their poison: the 5 or 10 round format of the above movements and reps

- must record the runs on Strava and each mile must have no more than 50 feet of elevation loss

- must have a visible watch/clock in the video of the strength the whole time

- teams pick one person to do each segment: Athlete A runs the first mile, Athlete B does the strength, Athlete C runs the second mile

- scores can be submitted from November 15th 12pm PST to November 20th 5pm PST
